The other is the departmental concept or broad concept, which refers to “steel produced by using scrap steel as raw material, melting through induction furnace, etc., and unable to effectively control the composition and quality, and steel rolled with it as raw material.”

　　So far, most provinces have made public the investigation and handling of “substandard steel”. Except for Beijing and Shanghai, “substandard steel” has been found in almost all places. It was learned from the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology that after a thorough cleanup and investigation, more than 600 “substandard steel” production enterprises were banned and closed in China in the first half of the year, involving a production capacity of about 120 million tons. In July and August, relevant departments will conduct special spot checks on areas where “illegal steel” has been banned. my country will always maintain a high-pressure stance against illegal and irregular production capacity to prevent the resurgence of “illegal steel”.
